Arrrrrrrrgh... *unsatisfied head-desk*
This problem started on the very first day of the BC. If you don't know, on day one sims can do what they like - in the case of most of the bachelors this did not involve the bachelorette at all, meaning that five out of seven of the bachelors scored 0/0 in Mia's relationship panel at the end of the first day, while one other was still in single figures, whilst the final one was way ahead.
I'm now on day 6 and this gap cannot be bridged, there's just no possible way. Now you might say "Well, they're obviously meant for each other if no-one else can catch up, right?" And the answer is, in my opinion, no. Because, from the second day onwards, this guy hasn't liked Mia nearly as much as she likes him. On day 3 she was 81/31 for him whilst he was only 50/17 for her. That 14-point relationship gap on the bottom remains even now - she likes him far more than he likes her and always has done. Meanwhile, his last opponent likes her more than she likes him, but only by 2 long-term relationship points at this point. In terms of their scores for Mia this second guy is only 6 points behind, but in terms of her scores for them he's 22 points behind. And that's all that's supposed to matter.
I started this BC in order to finally find her a good match so that she'd be happy and make up for all the crap my plot's put her through, so having her wind up with some guy who doesn't like her as much as she likes him is frustrating as hell. Now of course there is the fact that there is a limit on sims' relationships - once they get to 100/100 it can't go any further, so regardless of who Mia picks they're bound to wind up liking each other equally sooner or later, but I'm not going to be able to forget that this guy wasn't exactly enthusiastic here and the logical conclusion of a relationship starting like this (in my mind) will be them eventually breaking up or going wrong - which will hurt Mia even more and completely defeat the point of the entire BC!
I want to cheat. I want to cheat so badly. It is slightly possible, given the way my challenge has been set up, that I might be able to stop the 'bad guy' winning without cheating, but I can't make the 'good guy' 'win' as such without it - it would have to be an inconclusive verdict that could continue back in the main neighbourhood. And it would still feel like cheating, even if it technically isn't....
Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! *head-desk*
What am I supposed to do?!
