CPI is the corp that owns Sears Portrait Studios and now also the Picture Me studios that are in Walmarts. I work in Customer Service. It doesn't pay much but better than minimum, it DOES have benefits, although not stellar, and at least the commute is miniscule. There is bus service right to the front door, although it does require a transfer at Washington and 8th, I believe. Katy is working here now, too. although she was hired as a temp and won't get benefits unless she is hired full time.9 which we hope will happen soon. I'd still rather see her go back to school, but as you may know, 21 year olds frequently don't listen to their parents advice.
So... dinner at Wasabis' on Friday , Jan 11 at 6PM for those of you that can make it.
I'm debating about Conflation... just depends on child care, work hours, etc. FYI, Lauren moved back home with me a few months ago, AFTER Adam and Terri and the baby moved into my main floor. I was just living simply upstairs in my loft, but now that she and I are "roomates" I'm seeing the need to get the basement livable again so I can have some privacy. That's the plan, anyway. I'm having a rough time adjusting to my lack of freedom... for the last year my "headspace" was very "SINGLE" and I was really loving it. I know that makes me an official "bad mom" but it's how I feel.
