High School Football!
Well heres is the Central Texas High School Football update a few days early.
WE'RE GOING TO PLAYOFFS! (ahem.. sorry... didnt mean to get so excited there)
Birdville Hawks: Well they actually lost thier first game last night but even still those boys had a great run and knew they were in the playoffs for 4A football. Course this means Oldest Kidling gets to go play at all the halftime shows while they are in the playoffs!
Weatherford Roo's: Well the Roo's lived up to thier name and bounced back at the end of the season and with last nights win have made it to the 5A playoffs! Course this means that youngest kidling will be playing at all the halftime shows while the Roos are in the playoffs.
Being a band nerd myself and having my kids be band nerds I cant help but feel some small pride in the football team making playoffs. I mean hey... the bands not only entertain at halftime but while playing in the stands during the quarters they help inspire team spirit and enthusiasm for the game/teams.
