These are the times I wish I had someone else in the house. Eep! Lightning x.o
lol, my brothers dropped by & I took one of them to the airport since his flight left later. On my way back there was this truck (not a semi, but a Nissan or something) in the lane diagonal & to the right of me...& a lot of water in my lane. Y'know, it's amazing the life lessons you learn when you're little. There was this Golf'N'Stuff we used to go to that had bumper boats. If you turned the wheel one way your boat went in circles in that direction, around around around you'd go...until you turned your wheel the other way. If you wanted to go straight, you kinda had to turn your wheel back & forth. You know, that stupid boat taught me how to drive before I realized it. Now as it was pouring down rain & the water that truck blew up got caught in my brakes, my car starts to hydroplane. Funny to apply those early life lessons so many years later. If you just turn your wheel back & forth (& dont sit on the brakes, of course), your car goes straight. Oh, & don't panic. The heart may race, but keep control. *shrug* It was just odd for me to remember that as my car is floating on water, lol.
Overall my apartment is pretty quiet, even when it rains sometimes I can't hear it. But I can hear it now. It's coming down hard!
