Re: UK girls being influenced by Facebook - this is self-reported, so while these youths might *believe* they're heavily influenced by FB, that might not actually be the case. Also, the web being what it is it can be hard to filter things that finely - for example, if you're getting celebrity news through FB are you influenced by FB or by the celebrities?
