Apparently my phone stopped receiving texts sometime in September. Clearly, one can surmise from the previous statement that texts are a fairly small part of my habitual communications. However, if you have, say, declared your undying love or told me where to find the stash of jewels or invited me to a drug-filled orgy by text in the last three months and then wondered why I didn't respond, that is why.
I am now going to reboot my phone to see if that helps.
Edit: Nope, didn't help. Now I have to go hunt through the Crackberry fora to see if anyone there knows what's up. This is the problem with a jail-broken phone (Storm on AT&T) -- there's no tech support.
