Well, my aunt didn't make it. She passed away on Friday.
Friday I TRIED to buy Cubs tix. Oooooowwweeee! That was a PAIN in the ass. I got up in time to be in the Virtual Waiting Room at 9:30 when it opened. I sat down here for 2 1/2 hours and nothing. I had to go to work at 12. I was really irritated. I left it on and told my mom to take it off for me. Well, I came home at about 9 pm and it was STILL up on my comp in the VWR. I was SOOO mad!
My dad went to Texas to meet his brother and make arrangements. My mom and I stayed here cuz it was $600 bucks to fly last minute. Too much. She was only 52. Wooooah that's just too young.
Saturday I had to take him to the airport then off to work I went to deal with the PSYCHO Cubs fans. I mean I'm 1 too....but I'm not psycho about things. Tickets went on sale at 10. I got there a lil bit after and there where about 6 or 7 people waiting. A drawing was going to be held a lil before 10. A lot of people started to show up. They were doing a raffle so we had to hand out tix. I figured why not get a ticket for myself. Amanda wasz going so if anything I could give it to her to get tix. I really don't know why we even sold tix. They went on sale Friday so ALL the good games and most weekend games where sold out. I didn't get my Boston game =*(.
Well, my STUPID ASS store manager did the drawing wrong. How are you supposed to do a drawing? Pick ONE ticket.....(it was #####91) then cound down from that till the end and then start all over again. I was REALLY happy for that cuz what # was I? #######92!
Bastard was like ok next number is....... The girl I work with was like that's not how you do it and proceeded to explain it to him. He was like ohhh no. I thought you just kept picking # and that's the order. Then everyone (the people waiting) starting auguring. Cuz the girl I worked with gave the guy that happened to get the first # 2 tix cuz he said his cuz was coming and wanted a tix for him. She didn't really think about it and was like ok. So this blond bitch was like well I have 3 people waiting can I have more tix. Blah Blah Blah....people just wanted to bitch. The ugly asshole that she was with was like my mother brothers cuzing babies mammas friends neighbors wifes butcher is a big shot lawyer and we can sue you for this. I have a bunch of witnesses. I was like OMG people want to bitch about anything. Your # wasn't first so you wanna bitch and moan. He had 1 # after his 1st # so it's no closer to yours cuz you where 1 of the first people there. SHUT THE FUCK UP!
SO anyways. I just said forget it I'm not gunna fight. Do it the way you want. Amanda ended up being 8th. Not to bad. She got 2 more games. People where there for HOURS trying to buy tickets and spending THOUSANDS. It was crazy. You could really tell who where ticket brokers and who where regular fans. Brokers paid cash....and alot. You where only supposed to be allowed 42 tickets total but tickets.com wasn't cutting them off so they where getting over 50 tickets. So brokers who came together where getting over 100 tickets. That made me so sick and I kinda made it known. That was not right.....cuz they where gunna turn around and sell a $10 for like $50 or more. Grrrr that pisses me off.
Anyways....I didn't end up leaving that night till about 7. I got tickets to some value games ....4 games I believe. I couldn't pass up $10 tickets. The most I spent was $27. The seats aren't that great but that's OK. I got tix to the Cards, Rockies, Mets, and Padres I think it was. I know I'll get more when the season starts. I got most of my tix a day or two before the games. I'll really have to keep my eye on one of those Red Sox games. People are putting them on EBAY for 500....I even saw one for $1,000 something. That's insane!!!!
Ohhh and Jen Schefft....the Bacholloret is DUMB! Who doesn't choose either of the guys? What a waste of time. I would choose Jerry in a SECOND. Wooo HOoooo... Hottie! Jerry's on the left.
Well, work gave me tomorrow and Wends off to spend time with my fam. I have to pick my father up from the airport at 12 something tomorrow. Off to bed I go. **HuGz*
