Lunch Guy conversations for today...
OK, I get to work at about 7:10 every morning. I also leave at about 12:30. So all of my projects usually come in AFTER I leave. Lunch Guy must think that since I come in so early and there isn't anyone there yet that I must sit around and WAIT for him to get there so we can chat because I have nothing else to do. This morning I made SURE I was 6 feet deep in paperwork. I was still pretty ticked after yesterday, and I can't really accuse him of being anything other than dense and obnoxious, so I figured I would just to too busy to talk to him. Thank goodness J9 really did have a report she needed done ASAP. I got out a few extra files just to be safe though.
So Lunch Guy comes up and starts blathering at me about us going to eat food someplace and I give him very delayed one word answers. After about the third one he gets the hint that I'm busy, I say yes, and tell him I *MUST* get this report done, which is technically true. About an hour later HE COMES BACK!! O_o He's an agent on the phones, so it's not like he can get up and wander around. He has to log himself out or go on some sort of code to tell people WHY he's away from his desk. I am 99.9% sure "chatting up Delaney" is NOT a code! This conversation was WAAAAAY creepier....
He comes up and says "Is she still busy? Can she talk yet? Hmmm?" In a real "Silence of the Lambs" IT PUTS THE LOTION ON IT'S SKIN OR IT GETS THE HOSE AGAIN sort of way.... *runs away* I said "yep, too busy!" and went right back to work.
Where do they come from and why do they find me?
