cat island o6o8
YAY! catalina island had been one of the places ive been wanting to go to. and finally, ive gone there!!!! to top it all off, i was there with Chris. we stayed at seaport village inn in avalon, ca for 2 nights and 3 days.. well, its more of like 2 days coz we left at noon.
1st day
we got there and the hotel was ready for us to check in. so we did and checked if everything's cool in our room. yes, we had to have a jaccuzzi. after leaving our luggage in there, we head out and had brunch at jack's country kitchen and had a really good burger and fries. omg... i discovered a new dip for fries = ketchup, mayo, and tabasco. yum... so we walked around and checked out the beach area and went back to the hotel since chris and i had decided to hit the beach and roast ourselves. it was cool, i loved the beach coz it was nice and clean. its the next best thing to hawaii i should say. so, we went to descanso beach, where they're recently filming sixtysevenmiles [tv show]. 2-3 hours had passed, we decided to go home and get ready for our cruise [the ithsmus cruise]. we we on a boat to the other part of the island were they showed us the 2 harbors and had dinner, which was included, in the only restaurant there. it was good, i liked the food. we took a walk across the island, which really didnt take too long, and was introduced to the place where films were made... i kinda forgot what films. hahaha. back on the boat ride during sundown, we head back to the avalon. we started seeing, well, i was the first one who saw, the FLYING FISH! there were so many of them. they were just gliding across the ocean next to the boat. it was fun because chris was being really funny about everything! "go rocky, go!" he was making the couples in front of us laugh so much. i love him. so, when we got back to the hotel, we took ANOTHER shower coz we were out walking in dirt and getting splashed with ocean water on the boat ride. after a quick shower, we "chilled" and soaked ourselves in the jaccuzzi tub for about an hour while listening to music and watching tv at once. :] then... we spent time "alone" hahahahaha.
the next day CHRIS' BDAY!!!!!! we had breakfast @ jack's again and had some waffle & starberries and he had a country breakfast. i loved the biscuit & gravy! then, we hit the beach again and roasted some more skin and went kayaking. no pictures while on a kayak though. i thought it'd be a wet ride, so i ditched it in a locker. it was relaxing. chris and i had never been on a kayak.. he was very impressed with me since i didnt know how to swim and im in a kayak in the middle of the ocean! it was funny because chris kept on paddling so fast the the kayak was hitting some waves... i was kind of paranois that the boat might tip over. and having the thought in my head "what is underneath the boat?" "what if we tip over, what would be swimming around my feet?" and plus there were so much seaweeds there, of course there'd be plenty of fishes and such around. we were almost heading to a chunk of rocks! i was wondering why the water was splashing against each other! we wanted to head to the frog rock, but i thought we werent allowed to go any further... so we went back and paddled with the flying fishes! plenty were jumping around us!
after kayaking we went back to the hotel and we ended up falling asleep after shower until about 9pm. so we decided to grab SOME food outside. we were gonna go to some fancy restaurant, but we ended up going to a local restaurant. we got some fish and chips, burgers and fries. it was really good. teri burger with pineapple is the shit.
it was a lot of fun... excitement and thrill. it was all worth it. i was broke for a while, but it was cool. i loved it... especially because i was able to spend time with my babe on his bday. and i just wanted to make it special for him :]
