The epilouge seems to have been made just to satisfy all the fangirls who want to see the couple's children. If you were being nice, you'd say it was cute, if you were being critical, you'd say it was cheesy.
But it's a happy ending. There are still questions I want answered though. Who is the new headmaster? Who is Victorie? What's minister of magic. What happened to the Death Eatters. How did the Weasley family deal with the grief. Snape's body? Rita skeeter? Dumbledore's reputation. Luna??????????? Sirius? Who is Teddy Lupin living with? Where is Harry living? Working? What about Fleur and the others. Krum? Cho? The Joke Shop? Umbridge? The Goblins? the Centaurs? How'd Harry get out of robbing Gringotts? What was the public's reaction? Aberforth? Luna? Fawkes? So many guestions.
The characters that I loved so much in the previous books got lost in all the drama and fighting. But I'm glad Dumbledore was not an angel. I never cared much for him until this last book. And Snape...his story makes sense now. The Hallows though...she waited until the very last book to revel this little bit of important info to us?
I'm amazed Rowling managed to tie up all the plot related loose ends, and used information we never even considered, but there's so much about the aftermath of the Wizarding world left unsaid. *sigh* She kept me on the edge of my seat while reading, feeding new info with every chapter so that there's no time to contemplate someone's death. *looks at everyone's who's died*
Hedwig and Mad Eye's deaths were just..sudden. Pointless. Easily forgotten. I want them both back, or at least, for both to have bigger parts in this book. I'm glad Harry has learned to be nice to Kreacher. It was great how she brought up the conflict of races in the wizarding world. No angsting about Sirius and the veil in this chapter, oh no. The little bit about the ghosts, loved it. I want Lupin and Tonks and Fred back. their deaths were just rushed over. Tonks, where was Tonks's fiery and charming personality, where?
The connection to death, and Harry's acceptance of Death, beautifully done. If only the epilouge had been written about the death of Harry Potter several dozens years later when death comes along naturally. ARGH.
Amazing though. I think I'll buy the book just to reread and look over again. Yes...I'll do that.
and to think. This is the end. Now I can look up all the spoilers and new theories popping up.
