I'm drinking Barefoot:)

Today was an interesting day. For starters, due to Wynand's stablizing health and my status as a permanent resident of eastern MA, he decided to renew his gym membership and sponsor one for me. So this morning before church (7 am) we went to the gym together. I want to start getting in shape--eating healthier and working out on a regular basis. The former, of course, is majorly limited by my severely limited menu, but I've cut out between-meal snacking, pizza (*tear*), and French Fries. Before anyone asks, I don't drink regular soda. Actually, the only reason I drink diet soda nowadays is because Wynand keeps it at his place and it's all there is. Anyway, I'm going to be using my LJ to record my diet/exercise history. I'll put it behind a cut for the uninterested.

In other news: Kristen-I got your voicemail but it was all garbled. I'll try calling you tomorrow (later today as its 1 am already).

A bit of happiness: Pastor Scott and his wife just welcomed their first baby *SQUEE* A boy named Zachery. Scott's awesome in the way geeky engineers-turned-ministers are awesome, and I've known him for *counts on fingers* 8 years now, since before he was married and before he finished seminary (maybe before he started it, Wynand check me on that).

A bit of sadness: TGI Friday changed their menu and now I can't eat there anymore:( They had decent veggie burgers, but more to the point Wynand loves it there.

And now

Ate: 1 bowl of corn chex cereal with skim milk for breakfast between workout and church
1 packet of saltines for lunch because I discovered after seating about TGIF's new menu
1 Veggie burger from the Cheesecake Factory (best in the business IMHO), along with some of their bread lightly buttered (note to self: RESIST HOT-FROM-THE-OVEN TEMPTATION DAMMIT!)

Beverages of substance (non water, diet soda, or unsweetened tea):
1 glass of Barefoot cuz mom and dad didn't finish it themselves (note to self: "There's some wine in the fridge if you want some" is NOT a jedi mind trick! I have willpower dammit--just let me find it! *checks couch cushins*)

Exercised: walked 1.65 miles on treadmill in 30 minues (built up to 3.7 speed at #2 incline)
investigated the concept of weight lifting
