so, dinner was bunk. jess made good food for the potluck, and there was some other decent stuff there, though. regardless, it was alot of "preaching to the choir"-type speeches and some bad hippy band. well. it wasn't a band, it was a duo. and it was only 1/2 bad. the drummer/percussion guy was great, but the singer..... lemme put it this way, shit was all about unity and this and that. she rhymed "fight" and "right" and "unite" and that's really all. i mean, good message, but spice up the delivery. if i wanted to hear that kind of thing, i'd throw on a 25 ta Life record. fo' real, yo.
