WHOA WHOA PEOPLE! Calm them. THIS is why people should think for themselves and not let one extreme rule the way they "should" think. Both parties have good ideas and both parties have bad ones. Republicans bash on democrats, and democrats bash on republicans.. ESPECIALLY here in santa cruz, aka the most liberal place in the world.. ALL i heard today was pissed off democrats and i'm expecting protests.. good luck to the few republicans in this city. The botttom line is.. Holly, the fact that republicans have repeatedly taken their political anger out on you is unfortunate and frankly immature on their part, but coming from my point of view in santa cruz, democrats here do that to republicans just as much and its the same horrible cycle because yes, Derek, I agree it seems like we are all at war within our own country which sucks fat monkey balls. And Erik.. I completely agree with you that people on both ends should be able to listen to eachother's opinions and be able to openly disagree without leading to personal attacks, but I also believe that Holly has her preferences and if she is sick of hearing people ridicule her just because of her beliefs, she has enough say to speak for herself and say that "as Holly Johnson, I do not wish to be told my beliefs are wrong anymore". Personally I think as human beings we shouldn't have to side with one extreme or another, and that we are given a mind that allows us to think for ourselves on the political issues and make up our own decisions about them, and that society should not be telling us to choose between right or left. But, unfortunately that is how our society (and government, obviously) works and any other way would result in some communist chaos or something.. I dont know.. But anyways, we're family guys! No one is intentionally trying to personally attack eachother (I HOPE!) so let's just either peacefully talk about our differences or give it a rest! And I know I sound like a hippie but I'm really not... :)

hippie, jk.

I can tell that you are in a reverse situation than i am. Except you are not a republican...or even registered for that matter. Pretend you are a republican in that town and people knew it. Thats how i feel here. It's like im not allowed to be a democrat.
Anyways, the election is over. So i dont want to think about this anymore. Im disappointed in the fact that i thought Kerry could have brought so much good to this country and we're passing it all up.
Good Luck President Bush..(don't screw up my life please)
