(sigh) So there it is. I watched, I rolled, I laughed, I cried. I loved it.
In 1999, way back when Britney Spears first came on the scene, I came across a singer on television named Billie Piper. This was in the U.S. I was literally the only person in my world that knew who she was. But god, I loved her. No idea why but I loved her songs. Honey to the B was the only thing I knew of her and the Internet isn't the world it is today so she was blip in my adolescent mind.
Fast forward 2007. I was watching television, I flip through the channels and see the familiar face of Billie Piper. She was older obviously. Dressed in Victorian clothing funnily enough. And fighting off zombies who turned out to be dead bodies inhabited by Gelth. There it was. Doctor Who. I was there... hook line and sinker. And though I never quite gelled with Christopher Eccleston's Doctor, I fell in love with David Tennant's. Oh my oh my oh my.
I will miss him. So much. How did you guys deal with this in the 70s and 80s?! I can't even fathom losing my favorite Doctor much less accept a new one! How! How How How!
Allons-y, I suppose.
Fun fact: Google Allons-y and funnily enough the Tenth Doctor's wikipedia page is the first entry.
Fun Fact: James Bond is a Time Lord. Timothy Dalton's stint as Rassilon proves it.
