I saw a man on a park bench
Dressed in rags and disease
He brought with him a stench
That would make a maggot flea
He told me he used to be rich
He used to own property
I told him, I don't have any cash
But what I've got he can have for free
I told him about my life
He told me about his struggles
I told him about my friends
He told me about his enemies
I told him about my belief
He told me he didn't need religion
I told him how I was happy
He told me to keep talkin
There was a moment there when
I thought it would be the best to leave
But I'm glad I stayed, I saved a life that day
He went on to believe
You may think i'm wrong
Well, I'm not trying to be right
I just know what's worked for me
And if you try it, it just might
Be the one thing that turns your life around
The way you've always dreamed
So if you bow your head
I'll give you what I got for free
