Eee! Christmas Eve. Even though I’m growing up, I still love to hold onto the Christmas traditions from my childhood. Every year we go to the children’s mass at church, have pizza for dinner and go around and look at the houses decorated with Christmas lights. I’m quite a traditional person, I guess. Traditions bring people together, and they’re a fun thing to look forward too, and to look back on.
Shamelessly, I’m going to admit one of the my favorite parts of Christmas is presents XD I guess that’s the kid in me speaking. But in saying that, I love the giving side of Christmas too - I know my brothers are practically going to explode when they see what I’ve got them. All three of them are going through a Wrestling stage at the moment, so I got one of my brothers a Team DX t-shirt, and the other two a Triple H and John Cena wrestling dolls. I wonder what they’ve got me! Mum told me that she had to talk my brother out of buying me bright red lipstick and bright blue eye shadow, which is so cute. I know I’ll like whatever they’ve gotten me.
In other news, I had my first two days of work this week. I was so nervous! I didn’t know what to expect and I was so worried about stuffing things up. But I did okay! And the kids are so adorable. Even though it’s hard to communicate with some of them - some live in their own little word, and don’t talk at all. But it feels amazing to know that I’m making a small difference in their life. We had a combined Christmas party for two of the IHC groups, and one downs syndrome boy came up to me and gave me a huge hug, and said that he was going to marry me when he grew up! XD it was sooo adorable. I absolutely love my job.
