First I have a picture.
Second, I have a story, as to explain said picture.
So I decided that today would be a good day to give blood for the first time. Mostly because they were having a drive nearby me. I was nervous at first, but it went well. They poked me and drained my blood, which was a little surreal. But after I got free juice and choice of cookies or crackers. Unfortunately my sidekick, aka bestfriend twin didn't have such an easy time. I guess she has bad veins.
So I got a spiffy sticker, drank some juice, sat a spell, and decided it was time to go. I felt great. Hungry, but great. Maybe someone could use my blood. And it sort of helped me to realize how important Jesus' blood was.
So I was driving to meet my mom for lunch. That's when I started to get a little woozy.
Yikes! I thought to myself. I should pull over and rest for a little bit.
And so I did, because the parking lot of my church just so happened to be less than a block away. But lo and behold just as I was parking, everything went b.l.u.r.r.y and my mind decided that it would be a good time for a nap.
When I came to about 15 seconds later, the car was off and the doors were open, the hero of the day, ellen the brave, was on her cell phone saying, "My sister has just fainted..."
Yes, Ladies and Gents. I fainted! It was c r a z y. I felt like I just went to sleep for 15 seconds without actually consenting to it. And so this is a portrait of the firefighters whose station just so happened to be the next parking lot over, who bravely came to my rescue. (AKA, took my blood pressure and told me I was "mature"). And of my heroess, Ellen, who made sure our parents came and picked us up and gave us f o o d! Only in the picture I am on a Victorian style couch, and in real life I was in my car in an empty parking lot.
PS
if anyone has the new doves CD, imagine this happening to the soundtrack of "someday soon". sorta creepycoolartsyinteresting, huh?
