Well, it's day two of my new classes, so I feel qualified to put up my first-ish impression of the classes (I never count the first day because we do almost no work):
Block One: Global History 10
Mr. Nole seems pretty cool, and I do like Global History (American History is another matter, but I don't have to deal with that until next year), so it shouldn't be to bad. The one problem, however, is that he has us do reports on people, and I'm the very first to go (stupid alphabetical order). Tomorrow I'm going to do a presentation on Peter the Great. At least I won't be graded too harshly...
Block Two: Health 10
Mr. Monacelli is just as I remember: a bad teacher. One of the first things he said to us: "There are times when I will be late to class, but I expect all of you to be on time." A "do as I say, not as I do" teacher. Oh, goodie. At any rate, he was late to class yesterday and today, and we watched a movie almost the entire class today. This will be an easy class to pass, but terribly boring.
Block Three: Flex/Gym
This didn't change, so I don't need to say anything much. Flex is essentially a study hall, and I have that on A days, so that's good. Gym is... Gym. I despise it.
Block Four: Lunch
Well, it's lunch. I sit all by myself. Well, there are other people at the table, but we don't talk because we're all sitting there because there are no other open tables. I got hit with an orange today. Not because they were aiming at me, but because there's a "war" going on between two tables, and mine is in the middle. It's not too big of a deal, though, so it doesn't bother me often.
Block Five: Pre-Calculus
Mr. Hurley is my favorite teacher, and that's never happened with a math teacher. This is also the best time for me to take math because I'm awake, so I should do okay in this class. I'd better do okay. I take the Math B exam at the end of the year, and I need that to get my advanced Regents degree. I didn't take all that Spanish just to lose my advanced degree for lack of a Math B test!
Block Six: Study Hall
Finally! I haven't had a study hall since seventh grade, and I forgot how useful they can be. With a full hour and a half to myself, I can finish essentially all of my homework. I have to get study halls more often.
