It's 2AM and it's thunderstorming. In the prairies! The lightning isn't consistent enough for me to try to take a picture though. It's my life goal to get a lightning bolt in a picture.
Banff last weekend was really fun. We did this rather big hike up Sulpfur Mountain. It wasn't easy, let me assure you, there were really steep parts (not Nepal sttep or anything) and it was just a long 5-km zig-zag 3km up a mountain. Whoa I climbed a mountain? It was the frist time I had the opportunity to see a mountain... like a real solid mountain! And the feeling after making it to the top of that thing, and looking over the other side, seeing the city of Banff tucked in a web of mountians... it was literally the most amazing site I've ever layed eyes on. It really is one of those things you need to see in person to get, beofre that momoent, I hadn't really thought about why the Rockies are so renound.
The West is simply awesome. I just need to make it into BC now.
As for my stay in Toontwown, I have less than a week to go. Shirley and I are taking the bus together up to Sudbury, after which she heads to St. Catherines, while I travel back to Ottawa. Shirley's really awesome! She taught me this really simple, but amazing-sounding piano piece... and tonight she taught me the second part of it. I'll get a video of us playing.
This week, I really started to miss home, but I think that it's going to be really hard for me to leave here too. Here, I'm always around someone, usually a friend or two or 20. Back home, it isn't like that at all. I'll have to go back to being by myself until some activity takes place. But then again, I find myself getting more and more annoyed by some people (some in particular). But I like a lot of people. Bittersweet.
My roommate left today. He's a nice guy, but now I won't feel guilty when strolling into bed late at night. AND I can post entries.
I'm falling asleep though, so bye.
