so basically i just got back from the jimmy/greenday concert and im pretty sure it owned my life. jimmy was awesome even though they didnt play hear you me.
but GREENDAY! oh greenday. it was AWESOME
im basically in love. they start off with american idiot. then they play jesus of suburbia. THEN comes holiday. before he says "THIS SONG IS A BIG FUCK YOU TO GEORGE W. BUSH!!!" and even though im surrounded by uptight weirdos i respond by freaking out. and yelling at the top of my lungs "FUCK YEAH BITCH FUCK YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH".
while introducing the band he got to himself and says "and im george bush. but my friends like to call me asshole" {yes.definately another freak out moment}
lastly towards the end he was saying "we elect these people into office. dont let them fuck up your lives!" {and yes. yet another freak out}
hmmmm so some more highlights.
- they put a band togther on stage. picked one drummer from the audience. one bassist. and this one 8 year old guitarist who couldnt play. so they got a new guitarist. who went up and gave billie joe a huge hug. so after they played for a bit. the 8 year old came back out and billie gave him his guitar so he could go home and practice. and then he made the drummer come out and do a stage dive off. 4 kids now have amazing stories to tell id say.
- haha so mike comes on stage and plays the hidden track on dookie "all by myself" all retarded like. it was great.
- billie showin his ass. billie slightly humping the floor.
-before the show this pink bunny comes out dancing to YMCA and drinkin. very trippy.
- HAHAHA. kay so bille joe would yell out words for us to copy. like "hey" "ho" "ah" "eeeeh". and he just started repeating "aaaah" "aaaaah" a lot of times in a row. all sensual like. he then proceeds to yell "I WANT TO FORNICATE ARI-FUCKIN-ZONA!!!!! FUCK MEEE!!" so we all just yell while he stands back and "gets fucked"?
- they played we are the champions. they turn allll of the lights off. the only things we can see are the lighters and the cell phones. it was pretty amazing. cause they played it at live 8. and the live aid before that it was queen who played it and everyone thot greenday did and amazing job with it but it was even better in person.
-last song: time of your life. it always makes me want to cry.
