Community stance on plagiarism.
Most of you, by now, have heard of the plagiarism issue in our community and other Matt/Mohinder communities in this fandom. I hate having to bring this up again for the sake of the few who do this and are the reason why we have to put rules like these in place.
Our previous head-mod had made this post as our official stance on plagiarism, after ilsaluvsrick was found having plagiarized one of her fanfictions.
In going along with that post, and with how this has been handled in the past, there will be a one-strike rule for plagiarism.
If I get wind of anything like this happening in the community, I will gather all the facts, from as many sides as I can and judge then. If it is obvious and has been proven that plagiarism has occurred, then that member will be banned from this community.
Edited on 4/17/08 @ 9:49pm: After having several members approach me, I've edited my stance. I apologize if it seemed, before that I was giving leeway to plagiarism. That was not my intention. I'm a very forgiving person, but in this case I need to be strong on this issue and I again apologize for my blunder. I do take this seriously and out and out plagiarism will not be tolerated.
