Soooo....how's everyone's weekend going so far?
Mine's going great! Last night KV called and we headed to the Bottom Lounge to see the Red Tie Affair play. We shared a few laughs, some beers, swapped stories. It was great. Thanks again Kristin.
Tonight Matt and I went to the Flavor Fest at Juaquin Park, near our house. They were giving away tons of free samples from Whole Foods so we loaded up a bag full of stuff. Then we grabbed some food and sat in the park for a while. Lovely, simply lovely. Now I plan on smoking a bowl, drinking some beers, and watching the Sox game.
Tomorrow I've got work. Hopefully it's not busy and I can do my crossword puzzle.
Speaking of work, yesterday I spent 3 hours scraping gum off the elevator floor. That sucked major balls. Fucking savages, DISPOSE OF YOUR GUM IN THE TRASHCAN! Seriously, why do these people that come to my work and think they have the right to throw trash anywhere the please. Argh, this is just another reason why I hate tourists. Another reason is because I was 10 minutes late to work because I had to explain to 4 different people how the machines at the EL stop work. READ THE DAMN SIGN! No, it doesn't give change. No, you only get one card. No, you have to take the Red Line towards 95th to get there. No, the CTA workers will not give you change. My theory is that if you're visiting another city you should read a guidebook and the signs at the stops for public transportation. Oh, and another thing, if you're riding the train or the bus, DO NOT BLOCK THE DOOR! Tell Bobby Joe about the time you fucked a chicken some other time and pay attention. Ok, that was my anti-tourist rant for tonight.
Minus the Bear is playing the Bottom Lounge on Sept. 16th. Anyone wanna go?
