Iris identified! This is clearly 'Mother Earth', the only one of the three I planted that is purple (the other two in this pot which have yet to put out stalks are 'Beverly Sills' and 'Ballerina', both pink).

Argh! Why did I have to find this site? They have a gorgeous, gorgeous selection of roses, and I can't buy any of them.
