Remember how ticked I was a few weeks ago about the seller who wanted to cancel my purchase of a heart-shaped Rhodochrosite pendant because she had promised it to someone else? Winning these two pieces (from a different seller) totally makes up for it :D They are much prettier, and I got surprisingly few counter bids. Proof that with patience and perseverance something better will always come along, eventually ;)
It's time for a break from eBay, though. I've purchased quite a few pieces of new jewelry over the past several months (most of which I have not posted, but I can share more of them if you folks are interested...), and I think I probably have enough for now? Or at the very least I could stand to dial it back a bit. And these seem like an excellent place to stop...
Rhodochrosite, onyx, pearl. I'm usually not big on asymmetrical pendants, but this one was so striking I decided to make an exception...
Rhodochrosite, amethyst, kunzite. THIS, this is one of my all-time-favorite jewelry finds, and subsequently is going to be very hard to top. I was shocked (but of course pleased) that there was only one additional bid on it after my first! I love the Goddess-y accents combined with the pastel gemstones. It makes me think, 'Morgan le Fey goes to Versailles!'--which, really, is my aesthetic in a nutshell. Faeries? Deposed 18th century monarchs? It's all good...
Alright, enough babbling on about my accessories, there is gardening to be done...I bought a mini azalea bush at the market yesterday (it had pink AND purple flowers!!!) which needs a larger pot, and I'm finally going to get the Datura planted. Then laundry, wash hair, do nails, and....possibly book store??? My aunt sent me a B&N gift card for my B-day...
