Just wanted to give you all a taste of the hideous temptation that confronts me on a daily basis, in the form of the bakery markdown table. I don't know why I even let myself go near that part of the store...If you're wondering, I got the stripey blue 'Easter Egg' sugar cookies. They are good.
Supposed to be attending a lecture on Minoan Crete at the Penn Archeology Museum at 6, but after a particularly grueling day at work and only 3 1/2 hours sleep last night (it was too hot even with all the windows open >_<) I am too freaking tired! I have a strong suspicion that no matter how interesting the presentation may be, as soon as they bring down the house lights for the slide show (these things always have a slide show/powerpoint accompanying the speaker) I will zonk right out. No, what I really want to do is take a nap, get up and make a large dish of spaghetti, then soak my poor tired feets in a basin of the wonderful lavender scented Epsom salts I get from Walgreens. I'm sure Netflix instant viewer has an historical program on the same general period that I haven't seen yet...failing that, I can always watch Michael Wood's series on the Trojan War again (one can never watch Michael Wood documentaries too many times!). I know there's a section in one of those episodes on Crete...
