Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter...Gentle Readers, I know not what to say. Honestly, at this time I cannot form an opinion on the subject; upon reading that title my brain was instantly struck numb (with horror, fascination, or disgust I know not, though I suspect a combination of the three). We will move on to other news for now, and hopefully return to this topic once I have recovered.
Speaking of brains! Mr. Grahame-Smith's previous opus, the aforementioned P&P and Zombies, will be re-released by Quirk Classics in a
deluxe hardcover edition with full colour illustrations this October.
If the teaser samples of the
new illustrations are any indication, it would appear that for this revision the editorial staff at Quirk may have have taken into account the complaints from the Austen-phile contingent of their readership as to the historical inaccuracy of the costume in the earlier edition. Which is all to the good; but will it be enough to entice the ravening horde to purchase what is essentially a novelty book for the second time around? Your Humble Narrator finds the prospects doubtful...
