'Dragonball: Evolution' Trailer
The title has changed...because apparently Fox decided that plain old Dragonball wouldn't do. Supposedly this film is coming out in April. If it plays anywhere for longer than a week I will be shocked. Several bloggers have complained that the trailer looks like crap; to which all I have to say is, HAVE you actually seen the anime? It normally averages one episode of plot exposition to oh, say, fifteen episodes of martial arts matches (or, more often, ONE martial arts match stretched out over fifteen episodes). That was enough to entertain the people (myself included) who watched it. Lower your expectations, snarky film bloggers! If it's funny and the fights are well choreographed they will have succeeded, as far as I'm concerned.
My only real gripe at the moment is that Bulma's hair is not her trademark aqua blue! Instead, they've opted to give Emmy Rossum (yes, Christine from Phantom, who BTW has a cute Xmas EP I didn't know about) a weird top-knot ponytail with a couple of icy blue streaks (I've never seen this hair style on anything other than a Barbie doll). Since I'm fairly certain most of that is not her real hair anyway, I don't know why they couldn't give her more colorful extensions. Not impressed o_O
