Makani strikes again
This girl never ceases to astound me. She is, without question, the best at what she does...No one draws Harry Potter characters better. I wish Scholastic would give her Mary GrandPré's job (I've never cared for her illustrations...why must she continue to give Snape a goatee???? He looks like The Master!)
Over in buttfacemakani she's just posted the first batch in a series of HP portraits she'll be producing for Leaky. They are UNBELIEVABLE, though of course I expect nothing less from her. Favs are Snape, Lucius, and THE WEASLEY TWINS!!! (eilonwe, you have to check out this last one). She even manages to make Harry cute...
Also to be seen are Lockhart (can't help loving him too, the idiot), Hagrid, Dumbledore, the Dursleys, Sirius (I don't care if he's hot), Molly Weasley, Arthur Weasley, Trelawney (she's adorable), Draco, Voldemorte, Hermione, and Ron. She says more are on the way.
Weird little side note--I found out that in HP chronology most of the kids in Harry's class were born in the same year I was, 1980. It's really bizarre to think of them as my contemporaries...can I still call them dumb kids?
