This painting has me a bit frustrated. I first came across the image you see below a few weeks ago on Pinterest, and I assumed it was the entirety of the painting. However, in the course of seeking out additional work by the artist, I discovered that this is only a portion of a larger work. To complicate matters further, I could only find two online images of the full painting, both of rather poor quality, and one of them has been flipped to face in the opposite direction of the original...though I have no way of knowing which is the 'right' one! My instincts say it's the on with the main figure on the right, since that matches the detail, and it seems to have a better compositional balance, but until I can find a better source it's really anyone's guess...
