I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving this year. Mine was spent with my mother and some neighbors, then I took my portion of the leftovers to the soup kitchen down the street from my house along with some extra things I'd baked up special for the people spending their day there. I met some lovely people, other volunteers, and I'm supposed to be getting together for lunch on Friday with a fellow NYU student who was helping out there to discuss ways to get the cafeteria to donate their excess food as well.
I always feel better when I do something good for others, silly as it might sound. Seeing the difference it can make just gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Just imagine what type of world it might be, if more people stopped to assist their fellow man when and where they could.
