[She hadn't expected the note written onto the bathroom mirror after her shower. For a moment, Igraine had wondered if it'd been Daniel who'd written the little note, but one thing did throw her off: the lipsticked kiss at the bottom of the words, which read: Break him; he's only flesh and bone. Not understanding the meaning, she wiped it away, staring at the kiss imprint before ripping off some toilet paper to scrub it away. Only moments later did she ponder if someone had broken in, because Daniel wasn't the type for jokes like this, nor Michael.
With bare feet and a towel around her hips, she padded out to her room, snagging Grace in her arms along the way. She burrowed her nose in that soft, light fur, closing her eyes once she'd closed her door. She would worry about words on the mirror later. For now, there was time to think about her week, her day off, her family. Morgause was so charming and wonderful, and Morgan had a wonderful sense of humor. Though she hadn't raised them in this life, still she felt proud and accomplished for her girls having grown up into such strong, sensible women.
And then there was her son. Arthur. When would she meet him? Only time would tell, but now that he knew she was around, it was inevitable that she would be called to. It was always, always a matter of time.]
