[Percy had had no idea what to think for the last several days. His supposed interaction with Agrat when he was most definitely inside the Starbucks he worked at was confusing him more like he liked. She must have been dreaming, because how could he be in two places at once -- and in bed with her no less? That part horrified him the most. It wasn't the fact that she was a woman, a very pretty woman to be sure, but more that he apparently was with her intimately and didn't remember it. No, had to be a dream. Had to be. But he didn't like to doubt the woman when she seemed so sure it something had happened.
His attraction to women had not been completely erased since Galahad, not even before. They intrigued him and made him laugh, kept him company and were soft to the touch, but he didn't feel sexually attracted to them, or wish to take them home. They were beautiful, but not for bringing into bed. He could appreciate a woman's company as much as the next guy, but they weren't for him.
And then there was Galahad. Galahad who wasn't acting like himself. Galahad who he'd never gone, and couldn't possibly consider going, all the way with, which was fine with him. It was. He didn't feel some deep urge to throw his friend into a bed, because as long as he was with the man at all, everything was okay. Was it love? Was it just attraction? He knew it went deeper than superficial friendship. They were companions, mates on a shared journey. Maybe even soulmates. It probably was love. If nothing else, Galahad was the one person he could ever, without hesitating, willingly die for.
The next time Agrat brought up being intimate, he'd just have to say he was taken.]
