[Sleep had been eluding him for some time. Had it been intentional that Loki had mostly seen and experiences hurricanes? Were those higher up mocking him by reminding him of a past he wished he could've forgotten? He hadn't had a night of good rest for nearly two weeks, and it bothered him more than he could let on to anyone. But there were many things he told no one. Bottling things up was what he did; what right did they have to know about his life?
But at the same time, it was difficult to bear the burden alone. To curl up in a bed and know only one person could understand, and she wasn't anywhere near to him. He threw an arm over the sheets on the other side of the bed, fingering the material, and then curled up on his side to attempt something that would turn into a poorly attempted nap after a night of even less sleep.
Loki the destroyer, the trickster.
The destroyed and the tricked.]
