[He isn’t really aware of himself improving, as such, but he’s certainly trying a lot harder and that’s producing some results. Instead of moping for days over the glimpse of Samael, as he once would’ve done, he gets up firmly the morning afterwards and lives his life. Continuing to do so in the days after that. He wants to see his brother, yes (desperately at times), but he can’t and he knows that he should be content with what he has.

Should try living, instead of collapsing into a whining ball over how hard everything is.

He’s out shopping (again, just for a few baking aids this time) when he bumps into the boy in the middle of the supermarket. Four years old, slightly teary, separated from his parents and with no clue how to find them.

Raphael naturally takes care of the situation, without even giving it a thought. He guides the boy to the front of the shop and waits with him there until the frenzied parents arrive in a practical tornado of fuss and worry. A happy reunion later, and a lot of thanks that he calmly waves away (anybody should help, after all), and he’s getting back to his shopping with a happy smile. Glad to have helped.

An angelic deed? Nah, not in his eyes. Just a necessary one.]

!mini-log, raphael
