He just told me that he was true to God and would live by His path. He said he wanted to remain an archangel but how is this possible?

I just don't understand why he would do this, why he would turn from God in such a way.

Those exact words. He first confessed to being gay, but then corrected himself, asking if it would "help". As though it would make it any more acceptable.
