[Syrinx had tired of the crowd, she had tired of the weather - and in a moment of looking away, she had lost her way. There was the knee-jerk instinct to panic, and to hide somewhere. Instead she turned and paced to the safest place she could think of- the anywhere with green things.
Nature always calmed her, and so it was in no time that the nymph had scampered up a tree safely. From a comfortable branch she sat down, swinging her legs and looking for Aeneas. Unfortunately, while she waited... the weather took a turn for the worse.
The sky had already been overcast, so it was fortunate for Castor that he'd remembered to wear a hoodie upon leaving for work. He always cut through the park on his way there, but figuring he'd probably be told to leave work early if the weather got too bad, he whipped out his phone to send a text to his twin, alerting him of the possible change of plans.
What he didn't notice were the swinging legs up above when he ducked under a tree for brief shelter from the rain.
Slim limbs were already moving, hands clinging to the branches as the nymph moved to swing down from her perch to find shelter. It was rather unfortunate that she did not notice the hooded man beneath the tree until she had relinquished her grip on the tree. She would've yelped but something swallowed her voice.
Frantic, she flailed her arms- letting out a clear "Watch out-!"
Only in the movies did the guys catch the falling ladies in their arms, taking a moment to gaze in their eyes while they held on a little too long. But this wasn't a movie. She caught Castor in the back, sending him sprawling arms first into the grass, unconsciously cushioning the fall for her.
Ow.
He thought America was strange, but he was certain he hadn't read about the dangers of girls tumbling from trees.]
