Mother's Day was always a hard one for Guinevere. While all her friends made plans to go out for brunch or dinner, she made plans to go to the cemetery. While she'd never really gotten the chance to get to know her mother before she passed on, Guinevere still made sure to visit the grave every year on the important occasions.
It was always the same; she would buy tea roses and lavender, the two flowers her mother loved most, and get dropped off at the cemetery for a few hours. Usually, once they reached the small fenced in area surrounding the family plot, her bodyguard would let her go the rest of the way alone, however she was not surprised when Percival chose to stay with her the entire time. She entertained him with the stories she'd been told about her mother while cleaning the area and chatting amicably about what she'd been up to since her last visit.
She never once shed a tear, for this was supposed to be a happy occasion.
