[The following package will come in for Euterpe the next morning --
this in a lovely compact box, tucked into the shredded paper bits in the bigger package box, and a green envelope with her name written in cursive. Inside is a silver house key on a golden treble clef keychain, and a lightly perfume-scented card that says
this in her handwriting:
There are times when I feel I am not involved enough in your life, but we are mortal now and still new to one another, so I am more than happy to give you your space. In light of Friday's conversation, I want you to know that if you ever want to talk with someone, I'm always here for you, Euterpe. I will support you to the best of my ability, because I love you, and I will protect you with every fibre of my being.
This is a key to my house. You need not keep it if you don't feel comfortable having it, but it is for you to use when you wish. My home is your home.
♥ Calliope
The very same key is delivered to Erato on a heart keychain instead, no package included, and her card reads nearly identical to the last paragraph of Euterpe's, but it also reads
this extra line: "If you ever feel uncomfortable at home with your family and find you have nowhere else to go, I have an extra bedroom and more than enough room for you. I love you."
Clio would get one, but she doesn't know her address! She will receive a key sometime in the future. Big sister loves you very much, Muselings.]
