I HAVE JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST USED BOOK ONLINE OMG.
Called Kiss of the Vampire (aka The Night Inside depending on which country) by Nancy Baker it's about vampires! there's gore! it seems to be compared to Sunshine but it's propably more of an adult Companions of the Night (I imagine it to be a little Hannibal tbqh) and every review is praising but nobody ever bothered reprinting it. I'm going to go right ahead and speculate any number of reasons why that have nothing to do with its quality okay?
And now I'm reading Jose Saramago's Cain (that is when my sister finishes reading it) with is like bible fanfic! with snark! and no capital letters*! and somehow the mocking isn't superficial! and the characters have... depth???? And so next movie to watch, Blindness.
*Was this dude aware of capslock? Criticising the overuse of punctuation as means to confer sentiment? Should it be compared to Bukowski who reads like he just doesn't care I've no idea. Apparently Saramago's syntax is also all fucked up but that doesn't translate very well in Greek, shame.
faux literary mode: on,
books,
vampires!
