Am watching BBC's Jane Eyre. I still think it's gratuitous wish fulfilling with a bit of angst for self-righteousness's sake but I cannot look away and when did I ever say no. Except to write this entry. Yes they just had the fire in Rochester's pants. I mean bed.

Ha. I'm reduced to watching freakin' HEX (we all know how I feel about fallen angels), because I can't *cough* 'find' Fassbender's Jane Eyre anywhere and it's not out here until forever and a day.

The fire in the pants bed scene is the best thing ever in any Jane Eyre adaptation. Yes, I am shallow.

They were so cute together! I adored the banter. But my godssss she was so annoyingly perfect.

Yes, but what about Jane Eyre ISN'T wish-fulfillment? I mean, have you read CB's other stuff?

I haven't! And I have no idea! She's perfect! And I mean that in the worst way possible. Still, makes me want to have a go at Jenna Starborn because I adooooooore Sharon Shinn whereas Anne Bronte is the only one I might consider reading.:P

I love her very much, but three of her four books are a pretty similar story which mirrors her life in striking ways : P I haven't read Villette in years but I remember liking it; you should read it!

Well I could just read the one, Villette. If it ever came to that. I remember liking Tenant of Wildfell Hall again with Toby in it. I thought it was known that the Brontës only ever wrote self-insert...:P
