Summary: Polyxena v2 comes to get something from Arthur.
This wore her face but it was not her. Polyxena's sweet chaste nature, with a spine of steel had been taken and reshaped into something(one) else. She hungered for power most of all, and had no issues with using sex to get it. Her body moved in ways normal Polyxena had no idea it could, the little gestures became heavy with innuendo.
Coming to see Arthur was all part of a plan, a bigger plan - a bid fo power. He was a modern-day king, and Polyxena would see that he once again took his rightful place. When he did, she would be the one by his side, his queen, his faithful supporter (until someone better came along). Mussing up her hair, she smoothed the coat that concealed what she was wearing (or not) before knocking on Arthur's door.
She tried to arrange her features into something... modest, weak...vulnerable. Something that would appeal to Arthur's better nature.
Arthur was surprised by the knock on the door but would certainly never fail to admit Polyxena. The Trojan princess occupied far more of his thoughts than he'd ever admit and seeing her was always a pleasant experience (recent events notwithstanding).
He opened the door and smiled at her. "Princess. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"Oh Arthur-" She gave a little sigh then threw her arms around him, pressing her cheek against his chest. "-it has been an awful day, have you seen the network? Some people are acting so strangely- it is so upsetting to see some of the things being said." Not that she'd been saying anything or said anything- but again, trying to appeal to Arthur's need to protect.
This Polyxena had no problems in being manipulative or anything of the sort.
If Arthur thought he had been surprised, Polyxena's enthusiastic greeting pushed him into the realm of the truly astonished. Instinctively, he wrapped his arms around her, stroking her hair gently. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head.
"It's okay, Princess. I saw it too. I'm sure it's just another game. You mustn't take any of it to heart."
"Oh Arthur," She shifted back, looking up at him with big tear-filled eyes, "I wish... I don't know. Why are we being put through this, Arthur?" She slipped her hands upwards to cup his face in them. "Arthur- will you protect me?" Green-eyes fixed on the King's own, "Please? Will you promise to do so?" Promise and prove it.
Arthur's eyes widened and he felt nothing but sympathy for Polyxena. He had never seen her so vulnerable before and he could only assume that, no matter how strong and composed she was, even she had a breaking point.
He couldn't tear his eyes from hers. He lifted his hand to touch her cheek lightly. "Of course, Polyxena. Of course I promise." (And his were not words given lightly.)
The truth was that this Polyxena was neither vulnerable, nor scare, but her tactics were working and she had Arthur right where she wanted. "You need to be stronger, Arthur, to protect me." More power, more, more more. His words made the dopple smile softly, and then very purposely, Polyxena lifted her lips to his own, "Then we'll seal this promise like this."
Arthur kissed her back. What else could he do? Though he might have been the once and future king, he was only human and he was only a man. He lifted his hands to cup her face, fingers drifting into her hair.
He smiled down at her, a little flustered but undeniably pleased. "Now, what was that in aid of, Princess?"
Polyxena pressed closer, body flush against Arthur's, "I'd say this has been a long time coming, my king. I like to seal my promises with more than words." And this was exactly what she intended to do. Polyxena smiled shyly at Arthur, "This seems just like the right thing to do, wouldn't you agree?" Already in her head she was working all of this out, balancing out the best way to ensnare and ensure Arthur's loyalty to her. Just her.
Arthur could only nod. "Princess, if you're sure?" His cheeks were still a bit flushed and his hands drifted down to rest on her sides. "Oh dear. I'm not sure why we're still standing here." He took her hand and indicated the living room. "Come in, Princess."
A smile, a lingering touch against his cheek. "Thank you, my King." She followed him inside, door shutting behind them with an air of finality. The Once and Future King had followed into her game, her wishes without protesting and Polyxena felt an odd thrill of triumph along with the desire to make him hers- body, heart and soul.
Arthur was a tool, beautifully crafted- for her use. No one else could appreciate him the way she did.
He led her into the living room and each successive step did nothing to calm his mind. Polyxena, his beautiful Trojan princess, was here and she needed him. He had never doubted her commitment to him but this was rather different. This was more.
When they reached the living room, he turned to her, his expression kindly, as always, but with an undercurrent of appreciation. "Would you like something to drink?" he asked. "Oh. Can I take your coat?"
Inwardly smiling, she suppressed the urge to just grin widely at Arthur's offering for a drink, and to take her coat. Oh, well, if he insisted- as a good guest of course she'd have to oblidge. (Of course). Polyxena turned to Arthur fully, "If you would be so kind to do so."
The movements of her hands were calm, controlled and casual- as each button came undone. However the ... dress (if you could call it that) that was underneath was revealing enough to make sure there were no mistakes as to what Arthur could do to her.
Arthur reached for the coat and froze. "Polyxena?" he asked, faintly. But, then again, he was only human. Only human and only taking a quick step towards her. Her coat ended up on the floor as he gazed at her. Again, his hands dropped to her hips but there was the barest slip of material between his fingertips and her skin. He bowed his head to kiss her again. He could not do otherwise.
"You'll catch your death of cold," he said, his voice thrumming with amusement and desire.
"Then, my dear king, I must trust you know how to prevent that." She replied quietly, faking a moment of modesty as she looked down at her feet. She had him right where she wanted him, and apparently he had her where he did too. Her lips found his again with ease, "It was my hope that on your birthday we could've... but, it doesn't matter now."
Polyxena was playing his weaknesses, making sure that any doubts he had about her motives now were dismissed. He could not suspect that this was not quite his loyal princess or else everything would be ruined.
"Let's forget about my birthday," said Arthur. "Let's just - let's just -" Again, he kissed her and again before he backed towards the couch and sat down. He gazed up at her, his hands gently holding hers. "Let's keep you warm, Princess."
He lightly tugged to pull her closer, entirely unsuspecting that this was anything but a most natural turn of events.
Polyxena went down obediently, pulling herself close - knee on either side of him as she sat down. "As my King wishes." And with that no further words were required to lure Arthur in, Polyxena leaned down pressing their mouths together. She whispered sweet nothings as she tangled herself in him.
She was changing the balance of things, and that excited her- the promise of power. The promise of more.
Arthur eagerly reached up to meet her, his fingers gliding over her thighs, and he matched her, kiss for kiss. Every word she spoke inflamed him further and his hands roamed over her skin, up her back and over her shoulders as he cupped her face again, seeking another kiss.
"Oh," he said softly, "I wish. I wish."
