SUMMARY: Something's been on Hector's mind, and he needs to voice it now.
If Hector's sudden request to Menelaus and those to his family had seemed out of place, it hadn't crossed his mind. He wasn't a man who let issues simply fester rather than working them out, and running from them wasn't in his nature. Strength of heart had carried him to the bar where he'd arranged to meet with Menelaus, and perched on a stool with a barely touched beer, he allowed his mind to wander.
That dream all those nights ago had, in truth, bothered him for just as long. Everyone had lost a loved once in the war. No one had gone without a loss. But he had gone without a farewell, without seeing the rest of his family fall after him. In some way, it was like a blessing that he hadn't witnessed anything. The death of his Andromache would've pained him beyond words.
His ring clinked against the neck of the bottle as he wrapped a few fingers around it, taking a thoughtful sip. Tonight was about his family. Of love, devotion, and a need to know how his favorite brother had gone.
