It seemed like a normal summer night. A storm was rolling in outside. Amanda glanced at the clock as she heard the one in the living room chime midnight...
Suddenly, she gasped as memories flooded back into her brain. She wasn't just a teenage girl fresh out of high school. She was a Muse! Erato was her name. She had sisters! Brothers! And... him. Erato fingered the necklace around her neck.
She had to see him. Now. She couldn't explain why--she just did.
No time to call for a cab. Erato quickly scratched out a note to her mortal parents, grabbed the keys to the family car, and headed out the door.
It started to rain as she drove. No matter. She parked the car just outside his place. She thought she saw a light on inside. Holding her breath nervously, she rang the bell.
