Summary: Heimdall and Odin have a conversation after the announcement of Loki and Sigyn's betrothal.
Some of Odin's decisions made little sense to the other Aesir, but almost always, they were accepted without much argument. The Allfather had been their leader long enough that his choices were trusted, no matter how strange they sometimes seemed.
The impending marriage of his daughter Sigyn to Loki was not one of these choices. The announcement had been short, blunt, and offered no room for argument. To Odin, it made sense. Then again, besides his wife, Odin had been the only other one to know of the situation beforehand. To say people the others were surprised would be an understatement.
He did not stay to explain; he had made the announcement and then promptly left Gladsheim. He'd retreated to his usual spot in Valhalla and continued on with his work, his warriors, and his mead, just as he normally would.
