While he still walked with a limp, something the press had been all over after the fact with a story that even the best couldn't fabricate. Achilles had kept quiet on the matter, what was there to tell the rest of civilization that they wouldn't mock and find as inspiration for entertainment. The event had been quite the adrenaline rush for the swift Greek warrior who realized the extent of his capabilities within this body

Erato soon noticed Achilles' arrival. It was hard not to, considering all the excited whispering that broke out when he entered.
"You came!" she said, running up to Achilles and wrapping him in a hug. "Thanks for making it. And I see you've met my father."
"Yes," her father, Richard, said with a nod, "I was just telling him what a wonderful coincidence it was that an old acquaintance of mine would end up befriending my daughter."
Erato chuckled, and turned her warmest smile on Achilles.
"I said I would attend, did you think I would not?" he asked letting her embrace him with that almost ecstatic teenage exuberance. He wrapped one arm around her tiny waist, leaning in and running a soft hand against her back.
When her father approached again Achilles gave him a respectful nod. It was clear the girl was interested in the young, blond warrior which had continued the buzz of whispers around. He was sure to be the talk of her friends and one holding a camera that knew of his fame.
"She is quite the light on a cloudy day," Achilles said earnestly. Achilles was not easily trusting, but he felt a connect with the girl, something he'd not felt in a long time.
"That's our girl," Mr. Keefe said affectionately. He gave an approving nod to Achilles.
Erato blushed at the compliment. "Thank you," she said, happily leaning into the embrace. She didn't care who saw or how many people took pictures--she was happy to be at Achilles' side.
"I know you promised me, but I also know sometimes things crop up. I'm just happy you were able to come," she said.
It was his weekend to have the girls, but that didn't stop Asclepius from at least making an appearance for such a major milestone for his favorite Muse. He made sure Emily and Haley stayed close as he carefully worked his way through the guests to find Erato. She was arm-in-arm with a young man he hadn't actually seen before, but something in the back of his mind told him "Achilles."
"Congratulations," he said to her warmly when he finally got a chance to approach.
"Dr. Oram!" she said happily, "Thank you for coming!" For a moment, she'd been tempted to use the name she knew better, but thought better of it, so as not to confuse the little girls he had in tow. "And these must be your daughters? They're adorable!"
