The handle was well used leather, softened by use. It fit in his hand like nothing else. He would keep it after this, maybe to look at it and think of old days. Kokabiel grinned faintly when he looked at it and then to the store around. A little light from a fire, another from a lamp outside and, of course, the refrigerator. He waved his hand in a careless movement and all those lights flickered in his direction, wrapping around his hand like well-behaved puppies before sliding down the blade.
“Can’t do the flames anymore,” he said pensively, raising the now glowing sword in front of his face. “It was Dad’s, meant punishment. You can’t punish when you’re to be punished. So.” Again. “You want to try to kill me off or something?” Horsemen didn’t need reasons to kill but still. See if he ever tried helping him again. Bloody twig.

Famine gave no physical indication that he was either impressed or concerned about the bright sword. He didn't even give it a second glance. "Try?" Further advancement, more bat dragging. A little light show wasn't about to deter him from his mission.
"This may not be the Apocalypse, but yes." Now the slim horseman was only a couple of feet away, within stabbing distance. "I'm going to try and kill you off." With remarkable speed, considering the battered state of his body, he brought his weapon up and swung it in the direction of Kokabiel's head, as if it was an incoming baseball on the field.
No matter the injury, Famine wasn't going to stop. His veins hummed with determination to slaughter anything within sight now that he knew they were being teased. Temptation had been dangled over their heads, and they'd snatched it, prematurely excited that whatever this was, they could use it to their advantage.
And he and War were going to keep going until they could reunite with their fellow horsemen and show them all why they had the power.
