From Athena’s words to actions, there was no moment of hesitation. This was how hunts were made. You thought, you planned, you acted. You didn’t want around until the world resolved to mess up with you. Artemis flipped her cellphone open and texted quickly, just a simple message. ‘We’re here. Stay, be quiet. Floor?’ If Hebe had some sort of idea where she was, it would make this much much easier. The cellphone was closed again and placed aside, the gun settling comfortably in her uninjured hand.

“Done.” Artemis walked carefully, silently, eyes shifting from side to side while trying to keep her awareness for any unknown presence. Like the thing she had attacked earlier. If only they showed up, made themselves known. It was much easier to fight something when it wasn’t a ghostly shadow. “When I said to meet up, I didn’t mean it like this.” Really. It sounded the kind of party Hades would enjoy.

Then she stopped, just stopped in the middle of the hallway.

“Don’t you hear something?” Footsteps, maybe?

There was something in this hospital, Athena could almost sense it. The way people always could sense their opponent. Carefully she would go up to one of the doors that said classroom and prepared herself to open the door. Artemis would have her back and cover her. She gave her a wry kind of half-smile. "No, neither did I." She wished it wasn't like this, but well, they couldn't think like that.

Just as she was about to turn the knob and open the door, she heard the footsteps. There was something else too. She nodded and pointed to the direction that she thought it was coming from.

Now, did they wait for it to come to them? Or did they go and check it out. First though, she'd try this door and hope that nothing really creepy was inside.

Lancelot paused, back against the wall, to take in his immediate surroundings. The lobby looked gutted. Most of the fluorescent bulbs above were broken or flickering. Otherwise, it was clear. Fucking eerie, but clear. The knight pressed on down a hallway, shoes pattering softly against the floor.

A sixth sense told him he wasn't completely alone in this hospital. But he wasn't sure if he was in good company or bad company. He couldn't even be sure if Athena had already found and left with that woman. But at the very least, Lancelot knew he should stock up on anything he could find if the hospital wasn't already looted to the bones. Medical supplies. Drugs. Anything he could use or trade for goods.

When there was nothing creepy inside, and no sign of Hebe, Athena shut the door. There was still the sound of footsteps though, so that was where she was going to check next. Slowly but surely she made her way down the hallway until the footsteps got closer. Getting to the end of the hallway, she pressed herself up against the wall to peer around it, just in case there was something slithery down there.

However in fact, it was just a rather tall guy with blond hair and a weapon. "Lancelot, right?" she asked, hoping not to startle him enough to get shot or something like that. They definitely needed to loot the hospital, just as soon as they found Hebe. But at least now she knew where the knight was.

Reflex made him thrust the chainsaw in front of his person, until he realized the woman was a friend and not a foe. He lowered his weapon and nodded. "Right, and I reckon you're Athena?" Lancelot returned with a small grin. It was good to see someone who wasn't going to maul or eat him. Very pleasant change.

She took a couple of steps back, not wanting to get chainsawed in half. Though when he lowered the weapon, she came forward again. "I am," she answered with a small smile of her own and put out her hand. "It's nice to meet you, though if only it wasn't like this."

After shaking his hand, she glanced around. "We should be off. I think Hebe has told us which floor she is on. But there is something after her."

Lancelot shook her hand. "Well, there's nothin' like doomsday to bond people together, eh?" It was his way of seeing the positive side of things in an otherwise grim scene. Yeah, he might be dead in a few days, but Lancelot was going to enjoy the adrenaline rushes while he still could.

It had been a long time since he'd played the part of a knight.

"We'll find her before it does," he promised, letting go of her hand.

Giving his hand a shake, Athena gave him a wry kind of smirk. "So it seems." She was finding the positive, if only because she was liking going out and killing things. It made her happy where other things couldn't. She was definitely going to enjoy herself in the same way.

"Good, shall we go?" she turned around to go head down the hallway and find Artemis again so that they could continue looking for Hebe.
