Summary: Achilles goes to visit the Vet's hospital a place he often feels a connection to with the ex-military men and he runs across a familiar goddess.

It wasn't just the role of war director, writer and actor that brought Achilles to the Veteran's hospital, but something even deeper than connecting to people on an entertainment value. He was always searching for the right story that could make an ex-military man come to tears with the sheer magnificence of his vision. Not only so much to connect with them, but to connect within himself what it was that pulled him so swiftly to their stories when he'd never been in a war his short twenty-five years.

It was often that he came here to listen to these men and women that had lost more than just their limbs and homes, ones that had lost friends, families, and more importantly their own piece of mind. For some reason that struck him to the core, as they all shared a common understanding---there was no peace. The heat of battle would always beat in their chest like a heart. The sun and wind on their face, the blood of others (and sometimes their own), there was a thrill he could not explain.

The visions he'd experienced over the course of these last few months (that had always been there, only he'd had no idea of where to place them) of times before. The times of the Vietnam War, the Roman army alongside Alexander the Great, and even, yes even the Trojan War.

Little fragments started to become a reality, memories and not nightmares alone, things that tied him to who he'd been in the beginning. He sat there with a man who had lost his leg above the knee and one arm, just as a visitor that wished to be an ear for these people who he held such great admiration to. He was glad now that he knew who he was he was not among them living this life of solitude, though he had to admit a part of him was that old veteran. Just as this man was today.
