Self-doubt wasn't an emotion that Vincent was very familiar with. He knew he was capable of it, as people were capable of really anything, but he had never experienced a situation where he'd doubted himself in any way. Evidently, he was going through what could be considered an identity crisis, and he was sure that only happened during adolescence. But now with all these strange revelations, he wasn't entirely sure what to think and feel. The last time he had felt he'd known someone without ever having actually met them any time prior was with Isabel. And even then, he'd waved it off as a simple act of deja vu.
Hector was the oldest son of King Priam, leader of the Trojan army and heir to the throne. That was as much as Vincent had known before scouring the net for answers he knew he wouldn't get in full until he met with the boy who called himself Paris. All of this should've been bizarre, but could anything be more bizarre than having feelings for or feeling connected to people you've never met before?
The fresh air outside was welcome as he navigated through the streets from the subway, only about half a block away from where he'd agreed to meet the boy. Paris. His little brother. Would he have to greet him with a hug? Vincent really wasn't much of a hugger. And so the self-doubt came crashing back down on him once again, making each step toward the restaurant all the more confusing.
