(no subject)
I had a wonderfull wake up call today. A Comcast technition came by to shut off the cable. Aperantly the bill has not been paid in 4 months (Thanks Mom).
When my brother moved in with me our mother got the cable and internet set up for him and said she would pay it, I could realy care less if I have cable TV and internet, Im happy with dial up and broadcast, on the rare occation that I acctually sit down and watch tv. I usually just use my tv for background noise while I go to sleep.
The whole time I've had the cable set up here I've never even opened one of the bills, I just had them right to my mother and assume that she is going to pay it. Last week I get a letter in the mail from comcast in a plain white piority mail envolope ( the you owe us a lot of money envolope) so I open that up and there is a nice $186 bill waiting on the inside for me. I Think I shit right there.
The guy that came buy to turn everything off was surpisingly nice. I told him I really couln't afford to pay the bill in full right now, and I could cut him a check for about half of it. He said that he would still have to turn it off then and that it was an all or none deal, and that the check wouldn't even be cashed untill wednesday. Wednesday is when my paycheck gets deposited into my bank account, so I paid the bill in full. I don't think Im even going to bother trying to get the money from my mother, not any more then I alfready have anyway, its really just not worth the effort. Any one that knows the deal with my car will understand this.
